Trust in Soda have collaborated with a video game development studio owned by one of the biggest companies in the world. They are in need of a Front-End Web Developer to work collaboratively with their marketing and web development team, alongside other talented engineers to produce websites in support of their games.

They are really looking for high-quality engineering, and since they are developing products as services, they aim for fast iteration with a focus on robust methods. This means that they embrace modern development practices such as continuous delivery, automated testing, code reviews, pair programming and agile methods.

Key Accountabilities

  • Deliver high-fidelity web-based solutions to support the next game's marketing products
  • Build creative solutions to technical problems encountered.
  • Continuously work to minimise technical debt and maintenance hazards.
  • Champion quality in the development process, demonstrating values and taking an active role in improvement of engineering
  • Be part of their culture; be inquisitive, try things out, break stuff, help people be even better, think like you own the place.
  • Liaise with other teams, help identify technical challenges and identify core player value.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Expertise in React development
  • Experience in modern JavaScript web development.
  • Solid understanding of design patterns and object-oriented design.
  • Knowledge of CSS and preprocessors such as PostCSS.
  • Understanding of the complexities of working on multilingual products.
  • A keen eye on rendering performance, and knowledge of how to profile.
  • Experience in working with Typescript desirable, but not essential.
  • Experience in writing unit tests in Jasmine or similar.
  • Experience in MVC and/or MVVM design patterns.
