Role: Character Artist

Pay Rate: £180PD

Trust in soda are partners with a world leading global tech company in their search for a Character Artist for an 18 month contract.

They're looking for a talented artist who can demonstrate a variety of character art pieces, including both stylised and realistic designs.

Responsibilities

• To create character art content to the level of quality and timings, as directed
• Deliver content on schedule and within technical limitations
• Make balanced and rational decisions on the production of assets
• Report Progress and flag Risks and Issues
• Assist with quality control over outsourced artwork

Required Skills and Experience

• Outstanding portfolio that demonstrates variety of character art pieces, including both stylised and realistic designs.
• Comfortable creating both humanoid and creature-based assets.
• Experience using industry-standard content-creation software and engines (Maya, Zbrush, Photoshop, Substance Painter, Marvelous Designer, Marmoset Toolbag, Unreal 5 etc.)
• Knowledge and experience of X-gen or equivalent hair/fur creation software is desirable.
• Full understanding of character creation pipeline - Modelling/ Sculpting/ Texturing/ Material setup/ Editor integration.
• Experience in giving feedback to outsourcers a plus.
