Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)

OUR DEI MISSION

Our group mission is to build diversity, create inclusion and encourage workplace innovation. We want to help build teams that are representative of the society we live in and start to address today’s workplace representation gaps.

We can help you to achieve a culture of belonging where diversity is the default. At Trust in SODA, inclusion is the norm, not the exception. The initiatives and communities we have developed attract a unique, diverse, and often underrepresented professional pool of talent other agencies cannot access. Our community platforms, such as Women in DevOps and SODA Social enable success through focused knowledge building, inspiring future leaders, networking and closing employment gaps.  These initiatives help us empower organisations’ DEI strategic plans.

IMPACT STORY

OBJECTIVE

We became an exclusive recruitment partner for the Fast Futures programme. 500,000 plus young people are due to leave education this year. During an international pandemic, it is highly likely to have a negative impact on their job prospects, particularly with the cancellations of internships and apprenticeship programmes. At the same time, the UK is also experiencing a shortage of digital and tech skills that businesses need to compete on the international stage. The programme will equip young learners with the business skills UK organisations need to get them job-ready and help to limit the impact of COVID-19 on the UK economy. The initiative is a National, joint project Avado and leading global businesses, providing essential real-world skills to education leavers aged 18-22. Seeking diverse and equal representation in the candidate application process.

SOLUTION

Fast Futures is a ground-breaking digital and personal skills programme, coaching education leavers on vital workplace skills, backed by leading global employers to help secure part or full-time employment:

  • Aiming to provide tens of thousands of free places annually, with inaugural 12-week programme launching with 1,000 free places.
  • Founding employers include a cross-sectoral group of the biggest and most innovative companies in the world alongside start-ups and scale-ups: AstraZeneca, Agilisys, AO.com, Barclays, Blenheim Chalcot, BT, Legal & General, Modulr, Health Education England and its partner NHS bodies, Octopus Group, Salary Finance, Standard Chartered and Tate & Lyle. These employers have provided the investment and content to create this unique programme.
  • Designed to appeal to and prioritise underrepresented groups using a transformative approach to deliver a diverse group of participants and help address inequalities across the workforce.
  • The programme will be a critical part of the national effort to turbocharge the country’s COVID-19 economic and productivity recovery, bridging the gap between education and employment, and supporting existing government initiatives.
  • The founding employers, AstraZeneca, Agilisys, AO.com, Barclays, Blenheim Chalcot, BT, Legal & General, Modulr, Health Education England and its partner NHS bodies, Octopus Group, Salary Finance, Standard Chartered and Tate & Lyle, have committed the financial resources to ensure that this programme is free for all participants, enabling any individual to apply regardless of circumstance and background.

RESULTS

With a focus on recruiting candidates from diverse backgrounds, we provided 1000 young people from all walks of life, with a free 12-week training course on vital tech and digital business skills, that helps bridge the gap between education and full-time employment.
