With every new year, comes an array of new trends, ways of thinking and designing. This SODA Social will be uncovering what’s hot and what’s not for Design trends in 2019. This event will give you the opportunity to engage with design professionals and determine how you can incorporate a modern edge in your creative design in 2019.

Jonah Jones
Jonah is a Product Design Manager who helps to create delightful and innovative products. Jonah has had the privilege to lead design for Google Maps and Facebook, two of the top five most used apps in the world today. Jonah advises and mentors startups around the world on product strategy, growth, user experience, scaling, and team management.

Niharika Hariharan
Niharika is Design Director at McKinsey & Company where she leads and directs design, consulting and client teams to shape business strategy, product propositions and operational process to create tangible impact. Prior to McKinsey, Niharika has worked in consultancies, agencies and client side for organisations such as Vodafone Global, Barclays, Boots, BT, Financial Times, Open University, O2, Nationwide and Fidelity, developing service strategy, directing business propositions and taking products to market.

Anish Joshi
Anish is Head of Design & Innovation for Shell (Global Commercial & Chemicals) where he is creating, from the ground up, a new worldwide innovation lab capability that sets out to develop products and services through design, lean innovation and agile methodologies, coupled with new technologies. To address opportunities across the business and solve wicked problems he champions a holistic human centred proposition from design thinking and service design, through to digital creation (UX & UI).

Rakhi Rajani
Rakhi sits at the forefront of the intersection of psychology, emerging technology and design in businesses and organisations. She creates interdisciplinary R&D, Innovation and Skunkworks teams and labs for organisations that want to experiment, think forward and invent the future. Rakhi has extensive experience observing how people behave, monitoring the world for weak signals, patterns and change drivers, subsequently creating normative or exploratory futures that generate new products, services, businesses and experiences.

Jane Austin
Jane is an award-winning designer and has spoken and given keynotes at conferences all over the world (she once flew to Chile for the weekend to do a talk – ask her about the earthquake). She currently works Director of Product Design at Babylon Health. Jane loves building high performing design teams and leading digital transformations. Prior to Babylon, she grew the teams at Moo and The Telegraph and led the redesign of the website and several apps, worked at the Government Digital Service (home of GOV.UK), in an online trading firm, in startups and in agencies.
