What empowers you? From seeing women thrive, independence and having a seat at the table, to male allyship, leadership, equality, and our offline community Women in DevOps were common themes when we asked our SODA squad what empowers them in the workplace.

This year’s International Women’s Day is all about ‘Breaking the Bias’, our internal Gender EEG (Employee Engagement Group) within our Diversity Innovation Team led an engaging International Women's Day workshop 'Break the bias and enabling women to thrive in the workplace'. The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of current and future roles of women in the workplace, recognizing the important contributions of women as decision-makers, stakeholders, experts, and educators across all levels in an empowering day to amplify the voices of women, take action and accelerate gender equality.

The empowering day consisted of a live panel discussion led by our Gender EEG Lead, Rachael Egan, with the inspirational, Ann Roberts the Chief People Officer, from, Flo Health Inc., our HR Associate Marita Harper, and Marketing Director, Helena Sullivan. Our panel discussed leadership, confidence and how to empower women in the workplace. Followed by a group activity and interactive quiz with raffle in aid of our gender charity partner, Smart Works Charity.
