This week marks #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek2021. At Trust in SODA, we're proud to offer amazing employee benefits and promote a supportive workplace culture that recognises mental health as an essential component of health and wellbeing.
In particular, we provide an Employee Assistance Programme which gives all our people access to free, completely confidential counselling and support services 24/7. Hayley Harkins, Assoc CIPD, our Head of People and Culture and Mental Health First Aider, explained, ‘our mental health initiatives put our employees’ positive mental – and physical – health at the centre of our culture.’
Alongside these initiatives, we have a Diversity Innovation Team that focuses on 7 key demographic pillars - one of which being mental health. To enhance our commitment to this particular pillar, we work with a number of charitable partners including the Mental Health Foundation.
This year’s MHAW theme is Nature. According to the Mental Health Foundation, more than 50% of UK adults say being close to nature improves their mental health.
